Clinical data from 10 patients with Oral Crohn’s, 10 patients with Lichen Planus and 10 patients who are considered in good oral health were collected at the Glasgow Dental Hospital.
Demographic data was collected for each patient which includes age, smoking status and gender. Blood tests measuring 11 clinical parameters including white cell count (WCC), red cell count (RCC) and C-reactive protein (CRP) were collected from all 30 patients. In addition, quantification of the inflammatory biomarkers Interleukin 8 (IL-8) and Interleukin 6 (IL-6) was also performed.
Within this data set are numerous comparisons that can be performed, but it is up to each student to decide which factors they believe to be the most important and to form a data analysis report using the statistical analysis skills you have developed.
Aims of the report 数据报告代写
- To choose a few comparisons of interest within the data provided. To determine your aims of your particular data analysis and provide the appropriate null hypotheses. 数据报告代写
- To perform appropriate data checks to check whether the data is skewed or normally distributed.
- To choose appropriate statistical analysis tests and figures to report the data that answers your aim and null hypothesis.
- Use no more than Four Figures and Two Tables to present your findings.
The report should be no more than 1200 words, excluding figure / table legends and references. It is recommended that you familiarise yourself with the literature relevant to these oral diseases and with the different types of clinical measures included in the clinical dataset.
You will be given some example analyses that will aid you in writing the data report in the teaching session on the 25th of January 2021. This will also include an open session to obtain assistance with your analysis. 数据报告代写
