Problem 1

Medical Instrumentation typically involves monitoring of a signal off the body (signals from the heart, brain, muscles, and eye, nerve and fluid components) which is normally analog converting it into an electrical signal, and digitizing it to be analyzed by the computer. There are two types of sensors; electrodes and transducers, the former acquires an electrical signal while the latter acquires a non – electrical signal (force, pressure, temp) and converts it into an electrical signal. Commonly associated errors include insertion errors, dynamic errors, application errors, environmental errors and characteristic errors. Biomedical Instrumentation代写**格式

At the signal processing output, the process converted signal involves amplification; filtering and transformation as well as the generated output could be a number or an image. Safety precautions involving electrical safety, mechanical safety as well as preventive maintenance and calibration are also considered. Examples of instruments under study include blood pressure monitors and ECG amplifiers.

Problem 2 Biomedical Instrumentation代写

A) The instrument has a high precision of the weight readings since the numbers of readings taken by the instrument i.e. 3 all have a very small spread of the readings. The instrument is thus regarded to have a high precision due to a high degree of freedom from random errors as the three readings are close to each other. However, the instrument has a low accuracy as the values obtained should be close to the true value with minimal deviations from the true value which is not the case. B) The second scenario implies increased precision of the instrument as well as increasing accuracy of the readings taken by the instrument. This greatly enhances a reduction in the random errors to minimal degrees thus it confirms the inaccuracy of the first readings taken by the crude scale.

No I would not trust the data because as per the graph of values obtained it indicates a low precision of the instrument readings with the set frequency at 10Hz since fewer readings were obtained which also gives chances for greater errors. However, the instrument the readings are inaccurate since the set conditions have a huge deviation from the set standards deemed as the almost true value i.e.∼100Hz  thus the readings are treated as inaccurate because of the extremely low frequency used to obtain the readings thus higher errors in the readings.
