The modern organization needs to be creative in leadership empowerment and team motivation. Studies have been conducted on how individual, And group employee’s performance can be improved (Fernandez, & Moldogaziev, 2013; Dobre, 2013; Lee, Lee, & Park, 2014). Team Motivation

Moreover, the paper broadly explores the principle of intrinsic motivation using team self-concordance and team creativity (Hon and Chan, 2012, pg. 201-202). In so doing, the authors used the theory of self-concordance that is based on the value-based intrinsic motivation. The model states that the team becomes intrinsically motivated when individuals feel the decisions made align with their convictions and spirit of the group. The motivation is high when the members are identified with the objectives of the tasks.

On the other hand, motivation is low if the task is undertaken for rewards, coercion, and social pressure. They also proposed how to create a creative team. Through good leadership, teams can interact and socialize therefore develop a common belief in working together in the spirit of teamwork for collective achievement. Therefore, it is the work of a leader to empower the team using the five dimensions of leadership.

The whole performance in leadership and teams depends on how tasks are coordinated to link well to each other. High interdependence of tasks requires less leadership as compared to low interdependent. In this regard, it is the work of the leadership to decide on the level of the task interdependence and their role in keeping the motivation high.
