Egoism and altruism are two extremes in human morality. In fact, morality is an interplay of the two in the context of rational living. The movie show depicts egoistic preceding altruistic. The actors acted on their self-interest when they fight to survive but also saves another person’s life who they feel need to care (Ross). However, the care for the other person is also to gratify the personal interest of love. Katniss and Peeta fought to win and also save each other’s life for their own sake.

Therefore, we can learn that egoism saves us from the wrath of the world.  Moral Values代写

We have to survive, and surviving means acting to the best interest of our own wellbeing. It is ethical egoism that guided Katniss and Peeta to fight till the end. The wrong side about egoism is that it can destroy relationships. Altruistic living, on the other hand, seek happiness for others. Because of altruistic behaviour, Peeta and Katniss won the fight together and became lovers after that. Therefore, altruistic brings happiness in us and in others. However, if you behave irrationally in an altruistic living, you may forget about yourself, or people may take advantage of the situation. Katniss wanted her and Peeta to commit suicide because she loved him and Peeta had already accepted before they were intercepted. It shows how altruistic can be used as a weakness.

Moral Values of Ayn Rand  Moral Values代写

First of all, Ayn Rand believed and lived her philosophy. The question of her call threatening moral values of America is not relevant as the Americans have always been egoistically ethical by living the American Dream. According to Rand, egoistic living is moral as the agent is not forced to live to please anyone or anything but rationally choose and decide what to do and not to in life. That is the American Dream. Therefore, the real moral values of America are to live objectively and rational being not bound to please anyone or anything besides self.
