The news article that I read covered the topic of ethics dumping, which is the way in which many poor countries’ residents are being exploited by researchers from prosperous countries. In the name of better healthcare, or services, or even at times remuneration for doing a couple of illegal things which can be easily overlooked due to improper legal systems, or lack of supervision, many of the people are being exploited and acts which are considered to be unethical are being carried out by major organizations.

They are not as severe as the unjust experiments that were conducted by the US and the German during the sixties and the seventies, however, these too are issues that are being overlooked by many organizations, simply because they are not being conducted in the host country.

There are many such examples that are taking place in India, China, and many other countries a large proportion of the population is living in poverty.  In my opinion, the leadership of such organizations need to take an active step in addressing and stopping these practices from happening. Just because a country does not have proper law and order practices, along with check and balance in place does not mean that anybody has the right to exploit the people living there.

The leadership of a company is responsible for ensuring that ethical practices are followed. Whether the employees are involved in ethical dumping in the host or the other country, ethical standards need to be maintained.
