Ethical Behavior in the Administration of Justice

Unethical Behavior

In the line of administration of justice, the three police officer committed intentional crimes of search seizure which deprived the owner of the property their rights. But instead of conducting their duties they went over board to stealing the properties in the scene. They were accused of stealing play and other video games belonging to an unknown person (the United States of America v. Jeffrey, Forrest, and Sillings).  Criminal Justice代写**格式

It is unethical for a police officer to unlawfully seizure a property that is not subject to search. The responsibility of the police officers was to serve and protect the interests of the citizens in criminal justice (American Bar Association). At any given time in the exercise of their duties, they had to uphold the rights and privileges of every individual and not to act in any way for self-gain.

Contributing Factor  Criminal Justice代写

Due to greed, the police officers failed to adhere to ethical practice and standards set in their designation as the law enforcers. It is also possible that the leadership in the department failed to put measures to control the actions of the police officers in law enforcement. Criminal Justice代写**格式

The officers were aligned to court for the allegation which affected their career and personal lives. Their contract could be terminated if found guilty of the alleged offenses. They then are jailed or fined for the conduct which will affect them psychologically.

Role of Leadership  Criminal Justice代写

The Kansas police department had the duty of ensuring all the police officer conduct to the expected standards at their dispensation. The department failed in the monitoring the work of its police officers. At any given time, the department should have a mechanism of evaluating the police service in the department and be able to hold anyone responsible of misconduct. Criminal Justice代写**格式

My Practice

As a police officer, I cannot be an accomplice to the crime but rather advice the officers on their role and stand firm to protect the law.

Conclusion  Criminal Justice代写

Adherence to ethics in criminal justice is a difficult task to most law enforcers. Those entrusted to uphold justice system should be of high integrity and professionals to act without conflict of interests in administering the law.
